Cranberry & Blue
This styled shoot that I designed took place at the Manor Country House Hotel, a stunning 11th century venue in Oxfordshire England. Our creative team of wedding professionals captured the essence of old world glamour and romance in a color palette of garnet and the prettiest dusty blue, with just-picked florals adorning the stately reception table and the most fabulous ruffled cake….
I took my inspiration from the venue itself, which radiated an ‘old world’ charm and beauty within it’s interior elements. With old world glamour as the foundation of my vision, we drew inspiration from the historical and architectural parts of the building to create our concept. The period undertones allowed me to implement a strong presence of golds, cranberry and dusty blue throughout the shoot, within the textiles, table decor and floral design. I wanted to combine the perfect balance of old world glamour and timeless elegance.
The floral designs contained a wild and escaping appearance, using seasonal, British, textured blooms that popped with colour, fitting in with our colour palette. The main flowers incorporated are Dahlias, Clematis, English Roses and filler flowers consisting of Waxflower and Hypericum berries. Dried Strawflowers are flowing throughout the table arrangement, in addition to being used as part of each place setting. They are so rich in colour, but also have their own natural, flowing movement which helps to create such a beautiful and relaxed look.
